October Goals - 2018

Happy OCTOBER! Isn’t it wonderful that we’re in the season of colorful leaves, mums on the porch, Halloween costumes, and cooler weather?

I bought a new planner back in January (blog post about planners coming soon!), and one of my favorite features is the monthly goals section. I’ve never really been one who is mentally organized enough to come up with monthly goals, because I’ve always felt like life is so chaotic that I’m in survival mode. This year, though, I’ve done a pretty good job of setting monthly goals. That doesn’t mean I always reach them… but at least I set them and make progress toward them. The details around launching the podcast has been a big theme in my monthly goals this year. In fact, one month, my only goal was to come up with a name for the show. And I did!

As I get this blog up and running, I thought it would be fun to share my monthly goals with you, and to follow up at the beginning of the next month with a report on how I did. Hopefully this will inspire you to set goals for yourself each month, too.

So, here are my October 2018 goals:

– Get a great intro recorded for the podcast: If you listen to podcasts, you know most of them have an intro. For some podcasts, the podcast host records the intro, and for others, a third party introduces the show. I’m leaning toward the latter, and need to write the intro and find someone to record it.
– Stay current on my Peloton rides: If you follow me on Instagram, you know I am obsessed with my Peloton bike. Milestones are a big deal in the Peloton world, and I have a goal to get to 199 rides by early December, so I can do my 200th ride LIVE in the Peloton studio in NYC when we go on our trip! As I write this post, I’m currently two rides behind my schedule, so I need to catch up AND get current!
– Post on this blog every Monday: I’ve been working on a content calendar, and I’d like to post here every Monday. When the podcast launches, my plan is to release a new episode every Thursday. Here’s hoping I can stick to that schedule!

What are your goals for this month? Let’s cheer each other on – Happy October!
